What are C41, BW (black-and-white), and E6?
C41 is the standard for color film; 90% of films are C41 (e.g., Kodak Gold, Portra 400).
The emulsion is always indicated on the film you choose.
BW stands for black-and-white films; here, too, the information is printed on the film.
E6 are slides; they are already considered positives during development. The emulsion is also present on these films
What does "format" mean?
We distinguish between 35mm format, 120 format, and disposable cameras.
35mm film has 24 or 36 exposures and comes in a film canister; 120 film is on a roll and wider than 35mm film.
Disposable cameras are single-use cameras.
The standard is 35mm.
What's the right scan size?
For 35mm, we offer M (6 megapixels) and XL (30 megapixels).
M is sufficient for Instagram, while XL offers higher quality and sharper images.
What are contact sheets?
Contact sheets are layout scans of the entire roll of film; they provide an overview and can also be used for aesthetic purposes. We offer a digital contact sheet with 40 megapixels in TIFF format.

Can I track my return shipment?
We'll send you your developed negatives via Deutsche Post. This service does not currently offer tracking.
2. How much are the return shipping costs?
Return shipping to Germany costs €3.90.
Within the EU, it costs €4.99.
We're also happy to dispose of your negatives properly at no cost.
3. How does the storage of my negatives work?
For each order, you pay €1.90 to have us store your negatives.
As soon as you request a return shipment, we'll send all the negatives back to you.
4. How long will it take you to complete my order?
As a general rule, we estimate a processing time of 5 days from the date we receive your order.
We often manage to complete it much faster. If it's urgent, please contact us.
5. Is there a store I can visit?

Monday 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Friday 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Outside of business hours, you can, of course, use our package drop-off box at Humboldtstraße 128 to drop off your orders.
6. Can I drop off my film in Hamburg?
Yes, there is a package locker at Humboldtstraße 128. You can drop off your order there—be sure to label it with your name and order number.
You can also pick up your order in person during the store’s business hours!
7. Do you offer push/pull?
We offer push & pull processing free of charge for BW and E6. Just mark on the film how you want us to develop it?
For C41, we offer free processing within the range of -1 to +1. Just note it on the film.
